This documentation will guide you through the process of adding or modifying a class in the dashboard editing mode of your fitness studio management software. This mode allows you to make changes to the class schedule, including the class service type, instructor, day of the week, time of day, starting date, and an optional end date.

Adding a Class

To add a new class using the dashboard editing mode, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the fitness studio management software and navigate to the dashboard screen.
  2. On the navigation bar, click on the Dashboard button.
  3. In the top bar, make sure the "Classes" button is selected in the class/personal selector. This will switch the calendar view to show class sessions.
  4. Click on the "Edit Schedule" toggle to enter editing mode. This will allow you to make changes to the class schedule.
  5. On the weekly calendar, scroll to the desired day and time for the new class. Click on the empty space representing the desired time slot.

    A form will appear where you can fill in the details for the new class. The following fields are involved in adding a class:

    • Class Service Type: Select the type of service that the class offers from the available options, such as yoga, pilates, cardio, etc.
    • Instructor: Choose the instructor who will lead the class. You can select an instructor from the list of staff members associated with your fitness studio.
    • Day of the Week: Specify the day of the week on which the class will be held, such as Monday, Tuesday, etc.
    • Time of Day: Enter the start time and end time for the class. This helps in scheduling and displaying the class appropriately on the calendar.
    • Starting Date: Input the date on which the class will initially start.
    • End Date (Optional): If the class has a fixed duration or end date, you can specify it here. Leave this field blank if the class doesn't have a pre-defined end date.
  6. After filling in all the necessary details, click on the "Add" button to save the new class.
  7. The software will add the class to the schedule according to the specified details. The class session will be displayed on the calendar in the designated time slot.

Modifying a Class

To modify an existing class using the dashboard editing mode, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the fitness studio management software and navigate to the dashboard screen.
  2. On the navigation bar, click on the Dashboard button.
  3. In the top bar, make sure the "Classes" button is selected in the class/personal selector. This will switch the calendar view to show class sessions.
  4. Click on the "Edit Schedule" toggle to enter editing mode.
  5. On the weekly calendar, locate the class session you want to modify. Click on the existing class session to open the class details.

    In the class details form, you can modify the following fields:

    • Class Service Type: Select a different class service type from the available options.
    • Instructor: Choose a different instructor for the class.
    • Day of the Week: Change the day of the week on which the class is held.
    • Time of Day: Modify the start time and end time for the class.
    • Starting Date: Update the date on which the class starts.
    • End Date (Optional): If the class duration has changed, update the end date accordingly.
  6. After making the necessary changes, click on the "Save" or "Update" button to save the modifications.
  7. The software will update the class details as per the modifications made. The changes will be reflected on the calendar, and the class will be rescheduled according to the new details.
